Paper
As one of London’s leading printers we feel a responsibility to set a good example to the industry on green issues. 40% of the paper we use at Panther Print is re-cycled. All other paper that we use comes from renewable forests in Europe and Canada. Renewable means that for every tree that is cut down 2 trees are planted.
All paper used in the production at Panther is carefully screened to make sure that it meets the strict eco-standards we set. We also demand that no bleaches or Chlorine are used in the pulping process – modern paper makers supply us with superior brilliant white paper free from any environmental contaminants.
Re-cycling
The process of printing always creates a small percentage of waste sheets. All of this paper together with our office paper waste is re-cycled by our Neighbour ‘SITA RECYCLING’. We have achieved ‘certificates of recycling’ which have resulted in the production of 40 tons of recycled paper – saving over 1200 trees.
Chemicals
Many printers illegally flush chemicals into the drain as part of their printing process. At Panther we strongly believe that this is unacceptable and pay to have all of our unfriendly by-products taken away and treated by professionals who neutralise any harmful effects. We are proud of our certificates that prove all of our ecological efforts.
